Race Report

Max Verstappen held off a late challenge from Carlos Sainz to win the Canadian Grand Prix. The two started the final 15 laps side-by-side, but Verstappen was able to pull away and take the victory.

Qualifying

Lewis Hamilton led a Mercedes one-two in qualifying, with George Russell second. Verstappen qualified third, but was penalised three places for impeding Fernando Alonso in the final qualifying session.

Practice

Hamilton also led the way in practice, with Verstappen second and Sainz third. The Red Bulls looked to have the pace advantage over the Mercedes, but the Ferraris were also strong.
