Clay Matthews, Aaron Kampman Enter Packers Hall of Fame

Former Packers Linebackers Honored

Two former Green Bay Packers linebackers, Clay Matthews and Aaron Kampman, were inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 29th, 2023. The induction ceremony took place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Clay Matthews

Matthews played for the Packers from 2009 to 2018. He was a six-time Pro Bowler and was named to the NFL All-Pro Team four times. Matthews was a key member of the Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory in 2011.

Matthews is the Packers' all-time leader in sacks (121.5), tackles-for-loss (172), and forced fumbles (51). He is also second in team history in interceptions (29).

Aaron Kampman

Kampman played for the Packers from 2002 to 2009. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and was named to the NFL All-Pro Team once. Kampman was a key member of the Packers' NFC Championship team in 2007.

Kampman is sixth in Packers history in sacks (51.5). He is also tied for eighth in team history in interceptions (15).

Induction Ceremony

The induction ceremony was attended by Matthews, Kampman, their families, and friends. Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy and head coach Matt LaFleur spoke at the ceremony.

Matthews and Kampman are the 10th and 11th players to be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame since its inception in 1967.
